deTour 2026 collides with PMQ Movie Lab to present “Architecton”, an epic architectural documentary from renowned distributor A24.
Directed by internationally acclaimed documentary master Viktor Kossakovsky, “Architecton” takes the audience on an extraordinary journey through the foundational materials that form our habitat: concrete and its ancient predecessor, stone. Rendered in breathtaking, poetic cinematography, the film reflects upon the enduring wisdom of ancient architecture while critically examining the impact of rapid modern construction.
From timeless ancient ruins to the rise and decay of contemporary concrete structures, “Architecton” is both a grand sensory experience and a profound reflection on civilisation. It raises a fundamental question for our time: amid relentless urban growth, how do we inhabit the world of tomorrow?
