Handmade Galaxy Paper Workshop

In this workshop, we will sort reclaimed coloured paper by hue and pulp it into various shades. Participants will apply colour theory to blend the pulps, employing a specialised sheet-forming technique to layer two or more coloured pulps upon the paper mould. Much like painting in water, this process allows participants to create their own unique interstellar imagery.

Participants will learn to achieve stunning visual effects through paper pulping, sorting techniques, and the application of color theory, all while utilising reclaimed paper.

somoodstudio

Somoodstudio is a place dedicated to exploring and studying paper craft. Water and wood are the essential elements of papermaking; through water’s guidance, plant fibers are recombined and bonded, gradually forming a distinctive sheet of paper. This slow, deliberate process encourages observation and sensory experience—appreciating the passion of paper artisans and embracing the genuine, tangible qualities of handmade records.

We specialise in handmade paper and bookmaking, offering workshops for companies, organisations, and events. By engaging in these craft processes, participants gain a deeper understanding of the stories behind the paper, feel its texture, and in today’s tech-driven age, reconnect with the tangible pleasure of touch and handwritten expression.

Continuing the beauty of paper, our primary materials are leftover edges from paper mills and printing factories. We craft, innovate, and upgrade these materials into sustainable products, developing designs that align with users' habits and needs.
