“BloomDentity” is an innovative design project that transforms MBTI personality data into tangible, personalised works of art. The process begins when participants submit their MBTI results via their phones to a central server. Custom-built software then translates this data into a unique visual design language, which drives an automated system to generate and 3D-print individual vases.
Each vase measures 8–12 cm, weighs around 50g, and contains an embedded magnet. Using 8–12 printers operating continuously over six days, the system produces approximately 480 pairs of vases—one for the participant to take home, and one for the installation itself. The installation features a spherical structure with a diameter of around 2.5m, formed by suspending the vases with fishing wire pre-measured and simulated by computer. Each wire connects a vase to a metal ceiling grid, allowing the structure to grow organically as more participants contribute.
Visitors receive their personalised vase with an explanatory card and can visit the flower bar to select blooms that reflect their personality and story. The final creation symbolises both individual traits and collective connection, uniting diverse identities into a shared narrative.
Envisioned as a scalable, global network, “BloomDentity” reimagines design as a connective medium—blending personal expression, technology, and shared artistry on a grand scale.
