In this unique performance, jazz becomes a living medium for exploring “The Shape of Yearning”—translating design concepts of negative space, tension, and creation into spontaneous musical conversations.
Travel through original compositions and reimagined classics as the musicians' interplay mirrors the collaborative spirit of design. More than technical mastery, this performance embodies the very essence of yearning—each improvised phrase revealing new possibilities in the dialogue between design and jazz.
“Fountain de Chopin” was established in 2021 as a Hong Kong-based collective dedicated to popularising jazz. Through localised and down-to-earth approaches, they integrate jazz into everyday life. They hope to inspire people to feel and reflect on life through exposure to jazz, bringing more possibilities to their daily experiences.
